Our Work

The Area Health Resources Files (AHRF) include data on Health Care Professions, Health Facilities, Population Characteristics, Economics, Health Professions Training, Hospital Utilization, Hospital Expenditures, and Environment at the county, state and national levels, from over 50 data sources.

For the past three-plus years QRS has supported the CMS End Stage Renal Disease program (ESRD) by preparing and disseminating information to the ESRD community comprised of clinicians and staff in more than 6,000 dialysis and transplant centers across the nation, CMS contractors, and the general public.

QRS completed a series of multiyear contracts with DHHS/ OSOPHS/Office on Women’s Health to develop and maintain Quick Health Data Online, an online system and interactive tool for public health researchers, policy makers, and other professionals to assess the health status of women and minority populations across the nation.

In an Analysis of Civilian Market Capacity in the Vicinity of Military Treatment Facilities, QRS analyzed the demand placed on the DoD health system by military personnel, dependents, and retirees.

QRS led a team comprised of The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, NORC at the University of Chicago, and Noblis in assessing the CMS ACO program in preparation for the development of quality measures for assessing ACO performance.

PQRI quality measures were intended to define, standardize and improve the quality of health care services that add value to the care provided to Medicare beneficiaries.

Across a seven year period, QRS assisted state preparedness programs to certify their senior-most health care practitioners. To do this, states needed board certification of the practitioners for verification.

QRS and its subcontractor UNC-Chapel Hills conducted a study to assess retention rates for recent NHSC clinicians after they complete their service contracts and to compare these recent retention rates to the rates documented in NHSC’s 1998 retention survey.
